The role of ultrasound in intelligent robotics 

The ultrasonic ranging sensor is a non-contact sensor detection. The ultrasonic pulse emitted by the ultrasonic transducer propagates to the surface of the obstacle to be measured through the air, and then returns to the ultrasonic transducer through the air after reflection. The time of transmission and reception is used to judge the actual distance between the obstacle and the transducer.

Response time

Robot obstacle avoidance detection is mainly detected during movement, so the product needs to be able to quickly output the objects detected by the product in real time, the faster the response time the better 

Measuring range

Robot obstacle avoidance range is mainly focused on close range obstacle avoidance, usually within 2 meters, so there is no need for large range applications, but the minimum detection distance value is expected to be as small as possible

Beam angle

The sensors are installed close to the ground, which may involve false detection of the ground and therefore require certain requirements for beam angle control
